to China earthquake Relief
On May 12, 2008, China suffered her worst
earthquake since 1976. The death toll
has surpassed 13,000 people and the number of
unaccounted people continues to rise.
TACAS is saddened by the catastrophe and is
hopeful for rescue and relief efforts for the
people of SiChuan.
Please send your help from North
Carolina. You may write a check
addressed to TACAS, P.O. Box 1041, Cary, NC
27512 or you may pay with the credit card
securely online at www.cafanc.org/donate.
100% of your donation will go to the Red Cross
and be earmarked for China earthquake relief.
Donations are tax-deductible; receipts
may be requested from TACAS treasurer by

 Yin
and Yang concert at Mallarm¨¦
TACAS sponsored this wonderful concert on
Feb 3. The program featured the Chinese
zither (guzheng) played by Ms. Jennifer Chang.
Her brilliant performance along with the
featured Ma Sicong's string quartet played by
Mallarm¨¦ Chamber Players rang in the Chinese
New Year. TACAS also provided Lion
Dance and the Chinese
refreshments.

 2008
TACAS Chinese New Year Festival
More than 5,000 people celebrated the
Chinese New Year at the Expo Center on Jan
26. TACAS successfully organized this
event by calling 500 performers and
volunteers. The Chinese American Idol
talent search and the Chinese Essay and Art
Contest were two new attractions in addition
to the music, performances, food.
