The crisis in New Orleans and other areas
have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. It is a
horrific sight to see as we watch the devastation unfold
before our eyes. Thousands of people have been
uprooted and is now pleading for daily basic
necessities. Death and cries are coming from rooftops
and isolated areas waiting for help to arrive.
This devastation is matched in the magnitude of the
Tsunami crisis. It is painful and disheartening to
watch civilized humans returning to their nature
instinct to gain chance for survival. In the wake of
Hurricane Fran, many have learned that these kinds
of human drama and devastation can just as easily
happen around the our area. With federal and state
agencies, along with other well established relief
agencies coordinating much needed assistance, TACAS
is encouraging our members to give to the American Red Cross.
The Red Cross encourages monetary donations
as the most effective way to help out-of-state
hurricane victims. TACAS also encourage our members to
