Chinese New Year Festival

Raleigh – The Triangle’s largest Chinese New Year
Festival will be held at the Lighthouse Convention Center, 326 Tryon Road in
Raleigh, on February 5, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. An anticipated audience of 1500
people will enjoy a carnival-format that will include exciting dragon and
lion dances, Chinese cultural dance and music performances, calligraphy,
painting, and other cultural exhibits, interactive crafts and game booths,
and food and merchandise sales.
Chinese New Year – the Year of the
Rooster in the Chinese zodiac – officially begins February 9, 2005. General admission to the Festival is $2
per adult, $1 per senior or children ages 12 to 18 years, and free for
children under 12 years. Tickets
are sold at the door. The event
