It's with great pride that TACAS, NAAAP and CAFA bring to the Triangle area the first Asian
American Health Fair, free and open to the public.
A dozen physicians and health
care professionals will discuss diabetes, cancer
health care access, liver disease and other topics
relevance to Asian Americans, 50 national and local
organizations including the American Heat Association,
National Kidney Foundation, Philippine Nurses
Association, and Interact of Wake County will provide
information in English and Asian languages, and other
groups will demonstrate Tai Chi and healthful
practices.

Volunteers needed:
We now need lots of
volunteers to help run the Fair smoothly on Sep.
10. TACAS, CAFA, NAAAP, Duke medical and Physical Therapy
Students are being asked to volunteer. Please
click for more detail information on what types of
volunteers are needed.
TACAS wants to get our list organized early and is
calling for volunteers who can work for a three-hour
shift at a minimum. Lunch will be served for
event volunteers. Youth volunteer opportunities
available, they may be 13 years old and up, if they
are mature and ready to work conscientiously and take
direction from the Leaders. TACAS Youth group
and alums are may coordinate their volunteer service
through Mrs. Vicky Yang at swimmom1919@yahoo.com.

(important!), contact phone, and preferred times to
volunteer. All names will be submitted to the
Event Volunteer Coordinator, Miss Julia Yip of the
NAAAP organization. You should get a
confirmation Email about the hours you are scheduled
to work.
