2005 FCC Autumn Moon Festival
The Families with Children from China
(FCC) group are planning this year's Autumn Moon Festival and they invited
TACAS to participate again. TACAS' involvement has continued to
make the festival a success for their children and
their community.
The Festival is on Sunday night, Sept 18th. At Lake Johnson. From
5:30 to 8:30.
As in the past, TACAS will again provide several kinds of moon
cakes for the families to sample. Also Bao-Chu will get the oldest dance group
from FCC to showcase what they have learned over the years. This year we will
also have Chinese Yo-Yo demonstration by Jeffie Chang and her group,
calligraphy instruction by Shin Wu, and Chinese character entry on
computer by Sam Suen and Naipo Lee.
FCC families will have Chinese craft displays throughout the
evening, singings and Tai Chi demonstration. The moon rise is around
7:50. The Lantern Procession across boardwalk will begin around 8:00.
