一元復始, 萬象更新, 祝福您在新的一年裏身心健康萬事如意！北卡書友會創立至今已有十三年. 承蒙書友們的愛護與關懷, 書友會得以不斷成長茁壯. 感謝您歷年來的參與支持. 

今年書友會仍將循往例舉辦文學, 藝術, 保健, 生活四季座談, 每月書香小聚及特別活動; 同時並試探推出一系列具教育性的講座(workshop), 歡迎您拭目以待.

 又到了報稅的時候了，在您報稅前請注意您是否利用到新稅法上個人退休儲蓄帳戶的省稅,延稅,免稅,和 抵稅 的好處呢？ 

"二零零一年協調經濟增長及稅務減免法"(The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001) 對401k, Simple IRA, SEP, 傳統IRA 和 羅斯(Roth IRA)個人退休儲蓄帳戶在省稅,延稅,免稅,和個人退休帳戶的抵稅（Tax Credit) 有許多新條例.

Exploris博物館展覽和義工機會
Artifacts from 7,000 years of Chinese innovation are featured in this exhibition
"China On Tour" Exhibit at Exploris Museum, Raleigh,
April 3rd – August 1st, 2004 

This four month long exhibit about Chinese culture and ancient innovation will be a rare and extraordinary cultural and educational exhibit held at Raleigh. There will be 8 master artisans demonstrating their artistry and hundreds of artifacts revealing Chinese contributions to astronomy, navigation, architecture, paper making, printing, textiles, embroidery, weaving, porcelain, ceramics, etc.

TACAS is proud to be part of the Community Advisory Committee that is helping to plan this exhibit. 

Exploris is seeking many volunteers/translators. The translators are needed now to assist with the unpacking of the exhibition materials and during exhibit to provide translation between visitors and the artisans.  Guides will be needed to help visitors make their way through the museum.

February 28^th at 3:30 p.m. right after our Book Club seminar 
at the same location (Raleigh Chinese Language School, Room E250)
