庭園雕塑

誠摯邀請您於925(週日)的下午帶著家人、好友與大家共賞 庭園雕塑 之美…

Art Department of TACAS Book Club is planning an outing to visit ‘Sculpture in the Garden’. The 18th annual "Sculpture in the Garden" exhibition will be featured at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s N.C. Botanical Garden.

It has become a tradition, but there is nothing predictable about it, and this year promises to be no different. The 18th Annual “Sculpture in the Garden” exhibition opens on Saturday, September 17, at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. The invitational show, which runs through November 18, will feature outdoor sculptures by at least 20 North Carolina artists.

“The North Carolina Botanical Garden’s Sculpture Show is one of the most innovative places to display outdoor sculpture” says 2004 “Best in Show” winner, artist Frances W.K. Alvarino. “Art enthusiasts can come to one place and see many North Carolina artists’ work, in a rich botanical atmosphere.”

The one-of-a-kind sculptures in a variety of media—clay, stone, various metals, and natural materials—will be displayed among the natural habitats and formal beds surrounding the Garden’s Totten Center. “Every year, the creativity and thoughtfulness of each piece is an inspiration to me,” proclaims Sculpture Show curator Stephen Keith. “Two months is not enough time to thoroughly take in all these thought-provoking pieces.”
